10 years anniversary meeting
In 2023, FFMM celebrates its 10th anniversary.
That's why we chose to hold an anniversary event over 5 days. This could only happen during a school holiday.
Several of our participants chose to take a holiday at the same time so that they could participate in this jubilee event.
Theme
The theme was Northern European intermodal traffic, as well as internal goods in Germany and Denmark.
The layout was built with 1 fictitious station at each end of the facility. In between there were 5 stations and various industrial areas. Between these stations and industrial areas, there was a lot of operation with steel trains, ballast trains, chipboard trains and general goods trains with lots of goods wagons.
5 combi terminals participated in the event, of which 2 German and 3 Danish. Between these terminals there was a good exchange of full trains from both Lauritzen, Carlsberg, BODE, HUPAC, LKWalter and container trains just to name a few of the many full trains.
We certainly also had a lot of passenger trains; Regional trains, InterCity, EuroCity, "Ferieekspres" and CNL night trains in both countries as well as ICE on the German side.
During the meeting, we ran 433 trains spread over 8 driving sessions, many of them with lengths of up to 3.80 m plus locomotive.
The layout filled 800 square meters.
